CTOnews.com learned that the Aliyun side then issued a notice saying that the progress of the update process on the official website of Aliyun on the afternoon of December 18 said that after investigation, the Hong Kong regional fault of Aliyun was confirmed to be caused by the failure of refrigeration equipment in the PCCW computer room in Hong Kong. The use of cloud products such as ECS, cloud database, storage products (object storage, table storage, etc.), cloud network products (global acceleration, NAT gateway, VPN gateway, etc.) that affect the availability zone C in Hong Kong.

Aliyun said that this failure also affected the Hong Kong regional console access and API call operation. Ariyun engineers are currently working with PCCW computer room engineers to speed up processing, and some of the refrigeration equipment is being restored.

According to Nandu, as of 6: 00 p.m. on December 18, some affected websites in Macao can be opened and accessed normally, but some local media applications are still unable to log in.
