CTOnews.com, December 18 (Xinhua) Destiny 2 game developer Bungie is developing a new IP that will adopt a third-person perspective.

According to Bungie's chief game engineer recruitment message, the game will be a third-person action game, unlike Halo and Destiny, both of which are first-person shooters.

In addition, the position mentioned that the project would be developed using Bungie's own Tiger engine, the same engine used by Destiny 2.

CTOnews.com learned that Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) completed its acquisition of Bungie in July. According to the terms of the transaction, Bungie joined the SIE network as an independent subsidiary of PlayStation Studios. It will retain its former management team and executive board, while Peter Parsons will continue as chief executive.

As previously reported, in addition to the ongoing Destiny 2, Bungie has announced plans to launch at least one new IP by 2025.
