CTOnews.com, December 18, SAIC sold 930000 new energy vehicles from January to November, accounting for nearly 20 per cent of the group's overall sales.

SAIC announced that it will continue to promote the three new energy technology routes of "pure electricity, hybrid and fuel cell", strengthen the tackling of independent core technologies, and further accelerate the industrialization of new energy vehicles. SAIC new energy vehicles will account for 40% of total sales in 2025, doubling within three years.

CTOnews.com has reported that SAIC's vehicle sales of 493000 vehicles fell 18.1% in November from a year earlier, but new energy vehicles hit an all-time high of 130000 in a single month in November.

SAIC sold about 4.766 million vehicles in the first 11 months of this year. SAIC's own brand sales reached 2.466 million, of which SAIC passenger car sales reached an all-time high of 752000. SAIC sold 883000 vehicles in overseas markets, an increase of 46.4 percent over the same period last year, including 111000 in November.

In terms of the performance of the new energy vehicle market, SAIC sold 930000 new energy vehicles from January to November, accounting for about 20% of the total sales, which increased by 45.8% compared with the same period last year.

Specifically, in the first 11 months, SAIC Chase sold 30,000 new energy vehicles, up 68.6% from the same period last year; SAIC Volkswagen sold 90,000 new energy vehicles, up 84% from the same period last year; SAIC GM sold 44000 new energy vehicles, up 110.4% from the same period last year; SAIC GM Wuling sold 535000 new energy vehicles, up 34.8% from the same period last year.
