CTOnews.com, December 18, according to the Lanzhou Bureau Group of China Railway, the operation test of the middle orchid section (Ningxia section) of the Yinlan high-speed railway was launched on December 15, and the testing work in this stage was carried out in an orderly manner according to the set time node goals, making the final preparations for the opening and operation of the whole line.

As an important part of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the middle-orchid section of Yinlan high-speed railway is drawn from Zhongwei South Station and connected to Lanzhou hub through Lanzhou New area Station, with a total length of about 219 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour.

CTOnews.com learned that the Yinzhong (Sichuan) (Wei) section of the Yinlan high-speed railway was put into operation on December 29, 2019. The Central (Wei) Lanzhou Section is about to open, and the operation test work will be carried out in Gansu and Ningxia successively.

The railway department said that after the opening of the Zhonglan section of the Yinlan high-speed railway, the train running time between Zhongwei and Lanzhou will be greatly reduced from the current five hours to more than one hour, and the line will become a fast passenger passage connecting North China and Northeast China.
