CTOnews.com, December 17, Nothing began recruiting staff for the Nothing OS 1.5 Beta program based on Android 13 earlier this month. Before that, the company said it would not offer an official version of Android 13 to Nothing Phone (1) users this year.

Now, the Nothing OS 1.5 Beta beta is being pushed to registered users. Nothing OS 1.5 is equipped with new weather applications and customized Nothing UI, applications load 50% faster, more color schemes can be used to match third-party applications to theme wallpapers, new QR code scanners in quick setup, clipboard previews at the bottom of the screen for quick editing before pasting, and a new look for the media controller.

In addition, you can close running background applications from the notification area, increase background memory, reduce the wait time for frequently used applications to load, and new self-healing features to "make Nothing Phone (1) run as new" by clearing unused caches and expired system dumps. Better quick setup, new web and Bluetooth device pop-up windows, new UI for volume control, easy to adjust slider, no need to unlock the screen, and improved game mode, new UI for light notifications and Google gaming dashboards that support screen capture, screen recording, FPS display and do not disturb mode.

Users will also get all the features Google packaged into Android 13, including new photo selectors, new notification rights, new media rights, and support for using different applications in different languages.

CTOnews.com learned that the final stable version of Nothing OS 1.5 promises to arrive in early 2023.
