Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, December 17 (Xinhua) Microsoft added a second option to the taskbar display settings in the Win11 Build 25247 preview update released in late November this year. If you have not upgraded to Build 25247 or later, this article also introduces two other ways to enable seconds display.
Before introducing the other two ways, let's take a look at how Win11 Build 25247 and later starts the taskbar in seconds. CTOnews.com users can enable it by following these steps:
1. Use the keyboard shortcut (Win + I) or visit the start menu to enter the settings application
two。 Click personalize in the left window, and then find the taskbar in the right panel
3. Expand the taskbar behavior option
4. Check "display seconds in system tray clock"
If you have not upgraded to Build 25247 or later, or if you are still using Win10 or Win8, you can try the following three ways:
Use the command prompt to display the number of seconds in the system tray clock. CTOnews.com users can follow these steps to enable:
1. Press Win to open the start menu
two。 Enter CMD again in the search bar, and then select "run as administrator"
3. Enter the following command in the pop-up command prompt window and press enter:
Powershell.exe Set-ItemProperty-Path HKCU:\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Advanced-Name ShowSecondsInSystemClock-Value 1-Force
Use Windows PowerShell to display the number of seconds in the system tray clock. Press Win to open the start menu
two。 Enter PowerShell again in the search bar, and then select "run as administrator"
3. Enter the following command
Set-ItemProperty-Path HKCU:\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Advanced-Name ShowSecondsInSystemClock-Value 1-Force normally, your system tray clock area will display the number of seconds.
If you want to remove the seconds display, you can modify it in the same way as the command:
The command prompt cancels the display of seconds command:
Powershell.exe Set-ItemProperty-Path HKCU:\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Advanced-Name ShowSecondsInSystemClock-Value 0-ForcePowershell cancel display seconds command:
Set-ItemProperty-Path HKCU:\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Advanced-Name ShowSecondsInSystemClock-Value 0-Force uses registry editor to display 1 seconds in the system tray clock. Open the start menu
two。 Search for regedit and open the Registry Editor
3. Enter the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ Explorer\ Advanced" path on the address bar of the Registry Editor
4. Find "ShowSecondsInSystemClock". If you don't find it, you can choose "New"-"DWORD (32-bit) value" and name it "ShowSecondsInSystemClock".
5. Change the data value to "1"
After the modification is completed, you should be able to see the change in the system tray time. If you do not want to display the number of seconds, you can change the value to 0.
