CTOnews.com, December 17, PSXITA.it developers released Psxitarch v3 for Sony PlayStation 4 game consoles. Psxitarch is a Linux distribution that can run on PS4. The highlights are lightweight, fast, and low resource footprint (less memory than 370MB).

CTOnews.com learned that the optimization of this update mainly includes the following:

The system updates to the latest version

Update the Mesa driver to the 22.2.0_devel version. *

Can instantly switch from Vulkan (ACO) to Vulkan (LLVM).

TearFree can be configured with a script.

The new version integrates the fan control component Ps4fancontrol. It starts automatically when you start the release and sets the required threshold temperature. Therefore, it is not necessary to unplug the power supply to reset the fan.

Scripts are available to make it easier to set the system language.

Scripts are available to set keyboard layouts for xorg and vconsole.
