CTOnews.com December 17, Nvidia (NVIDIA) announced that Shield TV will no longer support GameStream technology in mid-February 2023. Nvidia has e-mailed Shield TV users to tell them the bad news.

CTOnews.com learned that through GameStream technology, players can put games on the TV, so that you can experience PC games faster and more smoothly, and all games can achieve 60 FPS and up to 4K HDR picture quality. At present, players can play more than 300 games (which will be added one after another every month) GameStream-optimized games.

Nvidia said in an email:

SHIELD users will receive NVIDIA Games updates in mid-February 2023. The GameStream feature will no longer be available after the update. SHIELD users can continue to use GameStream until then. Please visit our FAQ for more information.
