CTOnews.com, December 16 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- Nothing Phone (1) is the first to support Google's Personal Safety app in the Android 13 beta update. It also makes it the first non-Pixel phone in the Android industry to support Google's Personal Safety.

CTOnews.com learned that Personal Safety is an emergency rescue app launched by Google in 2021, with functions such as car accident detection, location search in an emergency and crisis warning.

The Personal Safety feature has been exclusive to Pixel phones since its launch, but Nothing Phone (1) also gets it in the latest Nothing OS 1.5 Beta update.

In this update, Nothing Phone (1) has acquired most of the core functions of Personal Safety, but currently does not support the car accident detection function. It is not clear whether this feature will be introduced after the official release.
