CTOnews.com, December 16, Microsoft released an update to Win11 Build 25267 yesterday, which focuses on exploring more interfaces in the taskbar search box. However, in addition to the update log, Microsoft also said that it will release an upgrade patch to fix the kernel bug BUG copied from the Win11 22H2 file again.

This problem results in a significant slow down when copying large files remotely. Although the issue was initially suspected to be related to the SMB protocol, Ned Pyle, chief project manager of Microsoft Windows Server High availability and Storage Group, later confirmed that it was a problem somewhere in the kernel and "had nothing to do with SMB or compression." As a result, the replication speed of local files is also affected.

CTOnews.com learned that in the Win11 Build 25252 update released on November 28, Microsoft said:

Fixed an issue where network-to-local replication (for example, copying files from a network share) was slower than some users expected.

In the December 14 update, Microsoft wrote:

The Win11 Build 25267 preview also provides an upgraded fix. This version fixes a problem where restartable copies of files with alternate data streams (such as using Robocopy) often get stuck. The updated fix will be incorporated into the monthly cumulative update via Windows Update after the Windows Insider channel has been verified.
