Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com December 15 message, in Win11 systems, the blue screen (BSoD) is also known as "stop error" (Stop Error) and "error checking" (Bug Check), and usually occurs only when a critical problem is encountered.
Obviously you want to never encounter this kind of error, but sometimes you can use a test system or a program you develop, or a prank, to enable it in Win11 by modifying the registry and using key combinations to force the blue screen.
Friendly reminder: there are some risks in editing the registry, and if you do not operate correctly, it may cause irreversible damage to your installation. Before proceeding, it is recommended that you create a backup of your computer.
CTOnews.com users can follow the following steps to enable it, but it is important to note that different keyboards need to be enabled under different paths.
USB Keyboard:
1. Open the start menu
two。 Search for regedit and open the Registry Editor
3. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ kbdhid\ Parameters path
4. Right-click in the blank area on the right and select "New"-"DWORD (32-bit) value" from the menu
5. Rename it to "CrashOnCtrlScroll" and press enter
6. Double-click the newly created DWORD and change the value from 0 to 1
7. Click the OK button and restart your computer.
If you are using a traditional PS / 2 keyboard:
1. Open the start menu
two。 Search for regedit and open the Registry Editor
3. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SYSTEM\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ i8042prt\ Parameters path
4. Right-click in the blank area on the right and select "New"-"DWORD (32-bit) value" from the menu
5. Rename it to "CrashOnCtrlScroll" and press enter
6. Double-click the newly created DWORD, and then change the value from 0 to 1
7. Click the OK button and restart your computer.
If you use the Hyper-V keyboard on a virtual machine (this feature is available only if the Hyper-V feature is enabled):
1. Open the start menu
two。 Search for regedit and open the Registry Editor
3. Open the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ System\ CurrentControlSet\ Services\ hyperkbd\ Parameter path
After completing the above registry changes, the user presses the "Scroll Lock" button twice in a row while pressing the "Ctrl" button for a long time, which will force the blue screen to be triggered.
The system triggers a KeBugCheck and generates a 0xE2 error and a "MANUALLY_INITIATED_CRASH" message. The Win11 system also saves a dump file for subsequent debugging.
Due to the shooting problem, there are a large number of moire lines, please forgive me. If you want to undo this function, then cancel the "CrashOnCtrlScroll" value created in step 4 of the above lesson.
