Thank CTOnews.com netizens 0 Phoenix 0 for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com, December 15 (Xinhua)-- AppCode is an iOS and macOS application development IDE launched by JetBrains. It has been officially announced that the product will be retired after the release of AppCode v2022.3.

JetBrains said on its official blog that it will no longer sell new subscriptions or renew existing subscriptions for AppCode from December 14, 2022. All valid subscriptions will receive a rollback license for v2022.3.

CTOnews.com learned that AppCode 2022.3 has now been released and is compatible with macOS 13 and Xcode 14.2, brings more refactoring features for Swift, supports language injection, and proposes new synchronization settings.

JetBrains says that since the release of AppCode 1.0 11 years ago, they have been using their expertise to make coding for iOS / macOS more enjoyable, and have made a number of achievements, including state-of-the-art C++ support, quick release of the new Swift language, and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile technology.

Although AppCode has achieved some growth in adoption rates, it has not achieved the market share that officials had hoped for. JetBrains thinks it's time to stop using the product and focus on other directions.

Until December 31, 2023, JetBrains will continue to provide technical support and version updates that specifically address Xcode 14 compatibility issues, as well as necessary critical security updates, which will be limited to these two areas. Note that Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile is not affected by AppCode decommissioning, and further investment in tools will continue.
