The new car is based on the second-generation technology platform of Weilai NT2. From the declaration map, the new ES8 will adopt the latest family design, the overall shape of the front face is similar to that of ES7, equipped with split lamp groups, and LED daily lights also use a two-stage design. In addition, the roof position is also equipped with a "watchtower" sensor composed of lidar and front double photography to support high-order auxiliary driving. In addition, the side fender is also equipped with dual cameras, indicating that it is equipped with Aquila super-sensing system and Adam Ultracomputer platform, which can realize the full function of autopilot NAD.

In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new Weilai ES8 are 5099/1989/1750mm and the wheelbase is 3070mm. Compared with the current ES8, the body length increases 77mm, the width increases 27mm, the wheelbase increases 60mm, and the height decreases 6mm. At the same time, the seat layout has been cancelled for 7 seats and will only be available for 6 seats.

In terms of power, the new Weilai ES8 is equipped with the same powertrain as ET7 and ES7, using the front and rear double motors with four-wheel drive layout, and the combination of permanent magnet before and after 300kW induction motor with maximum power 180kW. The comprehensive power of the system is 480kW and the peak torque is 850N ·m. You can also choose a towing kit, including hidden electric towing hooks, exclusive towing mode, power supply for towing equipment, camping mode and support for external discharge.

In terms of batteries, the ES8 will also be equipped with a power exchange mechanism, which can be equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack with 75kWh or 100kWh, and can also choose to replace semi-solid batteries in the future.
