CTOnews.com news on December 15, the National Bureau of Statistics today released energy production in November 2022.

The National Bureau of Statistics said that in November, the policy of ensuring energy supply and stabilizing prices was strongly promoted, advanced energy production capacity was released in a stable and orderly manner, and industrial raw coal, crude oil, natural gas and electricity production above scale maintained year-on-year growth. Compared with October, the growth rate of raw coal and crude oil accelerated, while the growth rate of natural gas and electricity slowed down.

In terms of power production, the growth rate of power production has slowed down. In November, 666.7 billion kilowatt hours of electricity were generated, an increase of 0.1 percent over the same period last year, with a growth rate of 1.2 percent lower than that of the previous month, with an average of 22.22 billion kilowatt hours per day. From January to November, 7.6 trillion kilowatt hours of electricity were generated, an increase of 2.1 per cent over the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned that, specifically, in November, the growth rate of thermal, wind and solar power generation slowed down, the decline in hydropower narrowed, and the growth rate of nuclear power accelerated. Where:

Thermal power increased by 1.4% year-on-year, 1.8 percentage points slower than the previous month.

Wind power increased by 5.7%, 13.5 percentage points lower than last month.

Solar power generation was the same as the same period last year, and the growth rate was 24.7 percentage points lower than that of last month.

Hydropower decreased by 14.2%, 3.5 percentage points lower than the previous month.

Nuclear power increased by 11.1%, 3.7 percentage points faster than last month.
