In the era of intelligence and electrification, a new generation of automobile industry has begun to take root in Silicon Valley. There were fewer than 10 companies in Silicon Valley in 2014 and more than 150 in 2019; new car-building forces such as Tesla and LUCID have grown in Silicon Valley, and traditional car companies have also set up innovation centers in Silicon Valley; focusing on the industry ecology of self-driving, from hardware to software to mobile travel.

Back in China, it is well known that several major cities of the domestic automobile industry, such as Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changchun and so on, once occupied most of China's traditional automobile industry and competed for the title of "Detroit of the East" one after another. however, in the era of market for technology, the local automobile industry is too big but not strong to carry the dream of an automobile power. Now the wave of new energy is coming, all over the country to restart the car-building industry, trying to build a larger territory in the field of new energy. As a result, new energy vehicle industrial parks have emerged in many places, such as new energy vehicle factories, battery production bases and self-driving demonstration zones. People no longer cling to the "Detroit of the East" and turn to compete for the "new energy capital". Surrounded by a number of strong car cities across the country, who will be the first lucky person to grab tickets?

Driven by the rapid growth of sales of new energy vehicles, the scale of China's power battery industry is also the leading in the world. From January to October 2022, the installed capacity of power batteries in China accounted for 60.5% of Prida in the world. It is estimated that the output value of power batteries in China will reach 82.3 billion US dollars by 2030. The development of intelligent vehicles is also accelerating. The penetration rate of intelligent vehicles in China has risen to 32.4% in the first half of 2022, and it is expected that the intelligent driving of different levels of new cars in China will reach 70% by 2030. Following the release of the "14th five-year Plan" by the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration on March 22 this year, a number of provinces and cities have issued more targeted "14th five-year" energy development plans in order to seize the new energy track.

The Yangtze River Delta cluster represented by Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Anhui: Jiangsu plans to produce more than 500000 new energy vehicles, accounting for more than 20% of new car sales, more than 800000 charging piles and 100 commercial hydrogenation stations; Zhejiang plans to produce 600000 new energy vehicles with an industrial output value of 150 billion yuan, and the total investment of the "100 billion" project is expected to exceed 300 billion yuan. Shanghai plans to produce more than 1.2 million new energy vehicles annually, and the output value of new energy vehicles exceeds 350 billion yuan, accounting for more than 35 percent of the output value of the city's automobile manufacturing industry. Anhui plans to have an output value of more than one trillion yuan in the province's automobile industry, with 40% of the output of new energy vehicles, 237000 charging piles, 4750 charging stations and 180 replacement stations.

The Pearl River Delta cluster represented by Guangzhou and Shenzhen: Guangzhou has a production capacity of 2 million new energy vehicles, with a permeability of 50%, creating a world-famous "city of smart cars". Shenzhen has 780000 new energy private cars; Foshan uses hydrogen energy as a breakthrough to build more than 500 billion automobile and new energy industry clusters. The two cities gradually set up the banner of the new energy automobile industry in the Dawan area.

The western cluster of Chengdu and Chongqing represented by Chengdu and Chongqing: Chengdu plans to have 800000 new energy vehicles, 160000 charging piles, 3000 charging stations and 40 hydrogenation stations. Chongqing plans to produce 1 million new energy vehicles, with a penetration rate of 40%, a road length of 1000 km, and a new energy auto parts industry with a scale of 250 billion yuan.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei cluster represented by Beijing: the number of new energy vehicles in Beijing is 2 million, the car electrification rate is 30%, the total size of charging piles is 700000, and the promotion of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles exceeds 10,000.

Obviously, the new car building movement is entering the 2.0 era, and the urban internal drama of the new energy automobile industry is becoming more and more intense. In the past, the title of China's car city always seemed to belong to individual cities, but everything was different when the new energy era came.

Who can succeed in grabbing a seat? This answer is difficult to answer, but if you want to say that the region with the highest concentration of new energy industry in China, the Yangtze River Delta must be on the list.

Combing the "2022 Hurun China New Energy Industry agglomeration cities list", we can find that Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing, Wuhan and Changzhou are among the top five in the country, followed by Nanjing, Suzhou, Guangzhou, Chengdu and Hefei. And half of them come from the Yangtze River Delta.

"2022 Hurun China New Energy Industry agglomeration cities list" in this wave of new energy vehicles, most of the cities with the most active layout and remarkable results are concentrated here. The output of new energy vehicles in the Yangtze River Delta already accounts for 38% of the country, which is equivalent to one out of every three new energy vehicles produced in the Yangtze River Delta region.

One of the new energy forces to be reckoned with comes from Shanghai. In the camp of building cars and old guns, Shanghai can be said to be the city with the most successful transformation and the greatest potential energy. According to official information released by Changzhou, in the first half of this year, the output value of Changzhou new energy vehicle industry cluster exceeded 110 billion yuan, the output value of new energy vehicle manufacturing industry increased by 198.1 percent, and the production and sales volume exceeded 118000, ranking first in Jiangsu province. the output of new energy vehicles accounts for 1/2 of the whole province of Jiangsu. In recent years, Changzhou has adhered to the positioning of the "famous city of international intelligence and the hub of the Yangtze River Delta", and has made all-round efforts in the fields of new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, energy storage, etc., grasping the power battery, which is the core component of new energy vehicles, and taking the lead in the layout. As one of the cities with the highest enthusiasm for new energy investment, Hefei was once considered to be the most powerful city to compete for the title of "new energy capital". Three enterprises with completely different backgrounds and styles have formed an embryonic form of new energy automobile industry with diversification. The struggle for "China's new energy capital" is not so much about industrial details as about a comprehensive war on geographical location, scientific and technological personnel and related industrial chains. 1. Develop vehicle enterprises and vehicle clusters: in the process of the new generation of automobile development, vehicle enterprises are still the important main body of the industrial chain, and the main types are local transformational vehicle enterprises, scientific and technological new power automobile enterprises, and multinational automobile enterprises. The new generation of automobile industry in urban layout should attract as many car companies as possible to settle down and establish industrial clusters around the whole vehicle.

2. Ploughing the industrial chain and developing the key parts cluster: attach importance to the layout of the key parts of the new generation automobile industry. At present, China's power battery industry chain has a certain international competitiveness, and begins to form a power battery industry cluster based on the city.

3. Attract cross-border forces and develop automobile + industry: the extension of automobile is constantly expanding, and the scale of automobile + industry, such as automobile health, on-board intelligent technology, data industry, in-car entertainment, automobile tourism, communication technology and so on, continues to expand. Cross-border integration creates a new growth pole for the automotive service system.

4. Increase penetration and create a new generation of automobile consumption city: fully tap urban resources and create a use-centered intelligent electric vehicle service ecology, such as the allocation of exclusive resources in terms of energy replenishment, road rights, and the use of public resources.

5. Seize the intelligent opportunity to build a driverless city: take the lead in building intelligent road infrastructure and create a good self-driving testing, demonstration and application environment. Promote the application of self-driving cars in highways, logistics, parks, scenic spots, urban roads and other scenes; innovate standards and regulations to create a demonstration area for self-driving landing.

6. Grasp the development trend of service and develop the new ecology of industry: the development of a new generation of automobile industry will lead to the birth of new service formats. Cities should attach importance to the introduction of service providers such as charging operators, logistics operators, solution operators and post-market service operators, and actively broaden the value boundary of the new generation automobile industry.

7. Promote the combination of automobile and new energy, develop automobile energy industry: new energy vehicles will rely more and more on new energy to develop, and build a coordinated development system of automobile and energy, including recharging, wind energy, photovoltaic, hydrogen energy, energy storage and other factors.

8. To create an automobile innovation ecology focusing on automobile science and technology and automobile culture: the birth of new cars must come from new automobile science and technology, cultivate a new automobile culture, and inevitably give rise to the demand for new talents.
