CTOnews.com, December 15, Hyundai Mobis announced today that it has successfully developed the technology of using gestures to control the on-board display screen and select the desired menu with one click, saying it can effectively reduce driver distraction and ensure driving safety.

This technology is called "Menu Pre Information" by modern Mobis. Hyundai Mobis says this is the first time in the world that a close-up reactive pop-up display has been developed, and it is also the first case in the world to apply infrared sensors to vehicle location sensing.

When driving, the driver only needs to put his hand close to the vehicle display screen, and the common menu will pop up automatically. With the gesture of flipping the menu, the driver can find the menu he wants.

According to reports, through the luminous time difference sensing technology, this technology reduces the number of sensors, improves the accuracy of gesture and direction recognition, and adopts automatic calibration based on recognition algorithm, that is, picture correction function. For the convenience of users, reactive UX (user experience) and UI (user interface) solutions are also installed to identify sensing distance and location.

CTOnews.com learned that Hyundai Mobis recently exhibited the next generation of in-car infotainment system MIS (Mobis infotainment System), which was jointly developed with Luxoft at the International parts Fair. The system integrates the pictures and functions of digital dashboard, AR HUD, center console display and three passenger seat displays, and emphasizes virtual personal assistant and artificial intelligence services.

In addition, Hyundai Mobis said that it will continue to strengthen independent research and development of technology in the future, while speeding up cooperation with global vehicle manufacturers.
