However, through unremitting efforts, the palera1n team recently released a jailbreak tool that is compatible not only with iOS 15, but also with iOS 16.

Jailbreak can remove software restrictions on iOS devices so that users can access and modify system files to achieve a variety of custom modifications and application side loading and other functions. Of course, Apple has been opposed to jailbreaking its devices.

Palera1n jailbreak is based on checkm8, a vulnerability discovered as early as 2019. The vulnerability is considered "irreparable" because it was found in Apple's bootrom of bionic chips from A5 to A11. Of course, Apple can change the rest of the system to prevent hackers from exploiting the vulnerability, but the company cannot fix it permanently on old devices.

According to the developers behind the palera1n jailbreak tool, the jailbreak tool is suitable for any version of the operating system from iOS 15.0 to iOS 16.2, the official version of iOS 16.2 has just been released, and it is not clear whether the tool is also applicable to the iOS 16.3 beta released today.

CTOnews.com learned that the team warned that the jailbreak tool was still experimental and aimed primarily at developers. And the jailbreak process is quite complex, requiring a Linux or Mac computer, and currently only a few functional adjustments are compatible with iOS 16.
