CTOnews.com, December 15, Microsoft's Windows Insider project for Dev Channel today released a preview update for Win11 Build 25267. This update focuses on more experiments on the search function on the taskbar in addition to fixing known problems in previous versions. In addition to updating via Windows Update, users can also visit Microsoft's official website to download ISO images.

CTOnews.com also learned that Win11 Build 25267 is the last preview of the Dev channel in 2022 and that Microsoft will not update it again during the Christmas holidays. The next preview update will not be available until January next year.

These fixes apply only to Windows Insiders that receives one of the different treatments for the search appearance on the taskbar, which has been rolled out to Insiders since Build 25252.

Microsoft fixed a problem that caused the search box to float on the desktop when you replaced the main monitor or plugged in an external monitor.

When using the increased text scale, the text in the search box should no longer be cut at the bottom.
