CTOnews.com, December 14 / PRNewswire-Asianet /-- 3DS game Mario Kart 7 has been updated for the second time ever, 10 years since it was last updated. This 1.2 update focuses on fixing several problems and improving the overall game experience.

CTOnews.com learned that the 1.1 update of Mario go-kart 7 was released on May 15, 2012, 10 years after the 1.2 update released today (December 14, 2022). Nintendo did not provide a detailed introduction to the update, but wrote:

Version 1.2 (released on December 13, 2022)

Regular update

Several problems have been solved to improve the game experience.

Version 1.1 (released on May 15, 2012)

Eliminate shortcuts when playing Wuhu Loop, Maka Wuhu and Bowser Castle 1 tracks in online multiplayer mode.

Nintendo doesn't actually reveal what's going on behind the update, but it can easily be linked to online services or the closure of the 3DS e-store (which closes on March 27, 2023). Data analyst OatmealDome speculates that this patch may fix some security vulnerabilities.
