CTOnews.com, December 14, Microsoft announced that the "Quick Assistant" (Quick Assist) application will be updated soon to fix the problem that some users are unable to download and install the application through Microsoft Store. Microsoft said in the announcement that after the Quick Assistant was stripped from the system update and became a stand-alone application, some users reported that it could not be installed.

Microsoft acknowledges in its support documentation that users of enterprise-managed devices may not be able to download the Quick Assistant application through Microsoft Store because of a lack of organizational permissions. The support article suggested that these organizations could use Microsoft Store for Business or Microsoft Store for Education to distribute the application to users. However, this suggestion is rapidly disappearing as an option, as Microsoft is planning to close the stores early next year.

However, the upcoming Windows quality updates in December 2022 and January 2023 will ease the problem for fast assist system users, Microsoft's announcement suggests. In some cases, users of the old Quick assist embedded application will get the new Quick assist feature. "after you install the update, the original Quick Assist will have the same features as the store app version," Microsoft said.
