IPhone 14 users can now contact emergency services without mobile phone and Wi-Fi coverage, and calls via satellite emergency services will be transferred to local emergency services.

Apple's satellite emergency call function is available to all iPhone 14 series users running iOS 16.1 and will be available free of charge for two years. The aim is to allow iPhone users to use satellite connections to make emergency calls without a mobile phone or WiFi connection outdoors.
