CTOnews.com December 13, Microsoft will stop supporting all versions of Windows 10 21H1 starting today (December 13, 2022). After that, Windows 10 21H1 will not receive any security updates or patches, and users will need to update to Windows 10 21H2 or Windows 11 systems.

Microsoft released Windows 10 21H1 in May 2021, a minor feature update. Because Microsoft was busy preparing for the release of Windows 11 at the time, there were no new features for ordinary consumers, only two significant changes:

Multi-camera support for Windows Hello

Performance improvements to Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) and Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) Group Policy Service (GPSVC)

CTOnews.com learned that, like the previous version, Windows 10 21H1 has been supported for 18 months, and the next version of 21H2 will be discontinued on June 13, 2023.

Mabel Gomes, a senior communications project manager at Microsoft, previously wrote on the technology community forum that if it is a qualified device, users can upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Microsoft has mentioned the recent Windows 11 22H2 feature updates several times throughout the post, hoping that Windows 10 users will be able to catch the Windows 11 train.
