CTOnews.com, December 14 (Xinhua)-- Apple today launched an official update of watchOS 9.2 (internal version: 20S361) to Apple Watch users, 50 days after its last release.

WatchOS 9.2 can be downloaded for free through the Apple Watch app on iPhone. After opening it, enter General > Software updates. To install the new software, Apple Watch needs to have at least 50% power, needs to be placed on the charger, and needs to be within the scope of the iPhone.

WatchOS 9.2 includes route racing, which allows you to compete with your previous results in outdoor running, outdoor cycling and outdoor wheelchair training.

The update also includes a new custom kick algorithm, and the noise app now lets you know when the sound levels of AirPods Pro and AirPods Max are lowered, as well as optimizations for car accident detection and some bug fixes. Apple's full description of the update is as follows.

When active noise reduction is used with AirPods Pro (Generation 1) and AirPods Max, the "noise" App now shows that the ambient volume has been reduced

"Family sharing Settings" users can be invited to join the "Home" App to control HomePod speakers and smart home accessories, as well as to open the door using the home key in the wallet.

Accessibility support shows that sirens are in use on Apple Watch Ultra

Improved response time and accuracy of "auxiliary touch" and "quick operation" gesture control

Optimized "car accident detection" on Apple Watch Ultra, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch SE (Generation 2)

Fixed an error that caused the watch time to display incorrectly after the alarm clock was turned off in "sleep" focus mode

Fixed an error that caused the interruption of mindfulness practice
