CTOnews.com, December 13 (Xinhua)-- Apple CEO Tim Cook (Tim Cook) today unveiled a rare partnership in which he tweeted thanks to Sony for more than a decade of cooperation on iPhone camera sensors.

Cook also posted a picture in which he visited Sony's Kumamoto technology center, where staff can be seen showing Cook iPhone and introducing some content.

CTOnews.com learned that based on previous supply chain and disassembly information, Apple has been using Sony camera sensors since the iPhone 6, and Cook's high-profile display of the partnership seems to mean that the iPhone 15 series will continue to work together.

According to Nikkei's November report, next year's iPhone 15 series will be equipped with Sony's "state-of-the-art" image sensors that double the saturation signal per pixel, allowing it to capture more light and take good portraits in backlight.

In addition, according to revelations, Sony may also provide OLEDoS display technology for Apple's first MR head display.
