According to VMware's internal notice, Mark Lohmeyer, senior vice president of cloud computing infrastructure, Ajay Patel, senior vice president of applications and management, and Tom Gillis, senior vice president of networking and security, will leave.

CTOnews.com learned that Broadcom announced plans in May to buy VMware for $61 billion (about 425.78 billion yuan) in cash and stock to enter the software sector.

VMware is expected to nearly triple the size of Broadcom's software division, accounting for nearly 49 per cent of the company's revenue. The deal is still awaiting regulatory approval.
