CTOnews.com, December 12 (Xinhua) according to the Economic Times of India, the Croma chain owned by Infiniti Retail, owned by Tata Group, plans to open 100 stores across India to sell Apple products.

Infiniti Retail will become Apple's franchise partner and will open 100 stores in shopping malls, main streets and communities, each covering an area of between 500 and 600 square feet, which will sell Apple products exclusively by becoming Apple's authorized distributor.

It is reported that the new Apple authorized Dealer Store will be smaller than the Apple Premium Dealer Store, which usually has an area of more than 1000 square feet. Smaller stores will mainly sell iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, while larger stores will offer a full range of Apple products, including the MacBooks.

CTOnews.com has learned that India has been one of Apple's fastest-growing markets over the past few years, and that the company has been particularly strong in India since the outbreak began. In the September quarter, iPhone's global revenue reached an all-time high of $42.6 billion, up 10% from a year earlier, driven by strong sales of the new iPhone 14 series in India. Between July and September, iPhone sales in India grew 44% to more than 1.7 million units, according to CyberMedia Research (CMR).
