TSMC does not comment on corporate financial estimates. Wei Zhejia, president of TSMC, previously pointed out at the French conference that the semiconductor industry may fall into recession in 2023, but TSMC will still be a year of growth.

According to TSMC's reply to the US Department of Commerce, TSMC expects revenue to reach about US $78 billion (about RMB 542.88 billion) in 2022, a record high and a year-on-year growth rate of about 30%.

CTOnews.com understands that the legal person pointed out that the global semiconductor industry is still facing inventory adjustment in 2023, but TSMC's 3 nm production capacity and pricing advantage are expected to contribute revenue at the beginning of relevant advanced processes, and all other processes reflect inflation and production cost increases with an average price increase of 6%. Driven by the price increase, it is expected to assist TSMC's annual revenue sprint of 100 billion US dollars.

TSMC expects to mass-produce 3 nm in Nanke, Taiwan this year, with wafer factory 18 as its main production base. TSMC believes that 3 nm will be another full-generation process after 5 nm (N5), including multiple combinations of N3E, N3P, N3X, etc. Among them, 3 nm mass production this year, mass production of N3E in the second half of next year, and mass production of N3P in the next year are planned to meet market and customer demand.

In addition, TSMC also continues to upgrade its 5-nanometer family technology, including N4P and N4X extended by 4 nanometers. It is expected that more than 150 products of the 5-nanometer family will be designed and finalized by the end of this year. With the support of multiple new applications such as automobiles, TSMC's 5-nanometer family capacity utilization rate will remain high.
