CTOnews.com December 9 news, the domestic 12-inch wafer manufacturer Xi'an Yiwei material recently completed nearly 4 billion yuan C round financing, setting the largest single private financing record in China's semiconductor wafer industry.

This round of financing is led by China Building Materials New Materials Fund. Yufu Holdings, Financial Street & SMIC Xicheng, Changan Huitong, Shangyi Capital, China Investment Innovation, Shanghai Comprehensive Reform Fund, Source Capital, Guokai Science and Technology Innovation, Guangzhou Investment Capital, Hongsheng Capital and many other well-known institutions follow. The old shareholder Guoshou equity, Zhongji Investment and Puyao Capital continue to make additional investments, and Light Source Capital acts as the exclusive financial adviser. So far, Yi Si Wei material has accumulated financing of more than 10 billion yuan.

According to reports, Yiswei material is one of the few semiconductor material enterprises in China that produce 12-inch silicon wafers with energy, focusing on the R & D and manufacture of 12-inch silicon single crystal polishing wafers and epitaxial wafers at the semiconductor level. Yiswei material has reached the leading level in key indexes such as single crystal quality, distortion quality, particle control and pollution control, and the yield and positive film rate have jumped to the domestic first-class level. At present, it has passed the product verification of a number of key customers at home and abroad, the customer demand is strong, and the production capacity of the next 3 years has been locked in advance.

CTOnews.com learned that the first phase of the Easwell material project was put into production in July 2020 and currently has a monthly production capacity of 300,000 tablets, the largest production capacity in China. The construction of the second phase of the project has started, and the total production capacity will reach 1 million pieces per month after full production, and shipments are expected to rank among the top six in the world.
