CTOnews.com December 9 news, PHP version 8.2 was officially released recently. For many programmers, PHP is the "best language", and the recently released version 8.2 is the major update of 2022.

CTOnews.com learned that PHP 8.2 added support for defining constants in traits, introduced "Random" extension and "read-only" class, Disjunctive Normal Form (DNF) type, updated the MIME type table of the built-in web server, reduced the memory footprint of strings returned by various functions, initially supported macOS Instrument JIT performance analysis generation, enabled arc4random_buf for Linux, and introduced Glibc version 2.36 or above for random bytes.

PHP 8.2 initially supports cross-platform creation on the Windows for ARM64 platform, allocating the JIT buffer Opcache close to the PHP .text field to allow direct IP-related calls and redirects. The new version also introduces new options for PHP Sockets, supports new Curl options, new ZipArchive methods, deprecates dynamic properties, and optimizes some performance.
