CTOnews.com, December 9 / PRNewswire-FirstCall-Asianet /-- American independent game developer Jeff Minter, who has developed more than 20 games such as "Tempest" and "Defender" for Atari, announced the launch of an arcade game project called "Akka Arrh" again.

CTOnews.com learned that "Akka Arrh" is a classic 2D shooting game. The prototype was released on a small scale in 1982, but failed to be fully released because testers thought the game was too difficult. Therefore, there are only three arcade machines that are known to run "Akka Arrh". One of them was shown to the public at the celebratory arcade game show "California Extreme" at the Hyatt Hotel in Santa Clara in 2012.

To celebrate the 2022 release of Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration, the game is back on the shelves. Atari said:

"Akka Arrh" is a crazy game that gives you a sense of explosive pleasure and reflects the sense of humor of the creator Jeff Minter. He has an obsessive love for psychedelic colors and wants to create pure arcade happiness.

CTOnews.com learned that this action-filled arcade shooter has two game modes, 50 unique levels, and can be saved. In the remaking of street cabinets in 1982, people can choose the level of visual effects that suit them through barrier-free settings.
