CTOnews.com, December 9 (Xinhua)-- Apple TV+ announced that Black Bird creator, producer and star Dennis Lane (Dennis Lehane) will shoot a new play called Firebug, which is about serial arsonists.

CTOnews.com learned that the creator Ryan is very good at adapting screenplays from real events, and like Blackbird, Firebug is inspired by the real world. But this time the inspiration came not from a book, but from the "Firebug" podcast hosted by Blackbird executive producer Kary Antholis.

Apple said the show revolves around the story of "a detective and a mysterious arson investigator following the tracks of two serial arsonists". The arson investigator in the show will be played by Taron Egerton, who is also an executive producer. In addition, other producers of Blackbird, Richard Plepler, Bradley Thomas and Dan Friedkin, will join.
