CTOnews.com, December 8 (Xinhua)-- Reliance Jio is developing a new low-cost version of the 5G smartphone after the company launched the Jio Phone Next phone, which uses a 4G chip to create an experience for new users who buy the first smartphone. Now, Reliance Jio True 5G is being launched directly to Indian consumers, and the company will also launch Jio Phone 5G affordable phones.

The Jio Phone 5G has appeared on the Geekbench running site, the device model LS1654QB5. The scores of single-core and multi-core tests on Geekbench are 549 and 1661 respectively.

The Jio Phone 5G is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC codenamed "Holi" and is expected to be a Snapdragon 480 + chip and an entry-level budget 5G mobile platform. The Snapdragon 480 + chip contains eight Kryo 460 cores up to 2.2 GHz, Adreno 619 GPU and Snapdragon X51 5G modems.

Qualcomm has invested in Jio, and the two have been partners since the launch of Jio Phone Next last year.

CTOnews.com learned that the Jio Phone 5G smartphone will be equipped with 4GB memory and is expected to provide at least 64GB storage. In addition, the phone will run PragatiOS based on the Android 12 system. The UI is customized for the Indian user base and supports several local languages.
