CTOnews.com, December 8 (Xinhua) Global shipments of fitness bracelets fell more than 40 percent year-on-year for the third consecutive quarter in Q3 in 2022, according to a Strategy Analytics research report. It's been a terrible quarter.

Supply disruptions in some areas and geopolitical and economic uncertainty caused by soaring inflation have led to weak demand for basic bracelets across Asia and the rest of the world.

Consumers continue to give up fitness bracelets in favor of smartwatches, which offer more features at lower and lower prices.

Online sales channels remain the industry's hope, and suppliers like Xiaomi are aggressively promoting their portfolio of Xiaomi bracelets.

By contrast, shipments of Q3 in the global smartwatch market rebounded in the most recent 2022, up 15 per cent from a year earlier, CTOnews.com learned.
