CTOnews.com, December 8 (Xinhua)-- Microsoft announced earlier this year that it would introduce a "Screen recorder" feature for Win11, but unfortunately it did not appear in the Win11 22H2 update. Microsoft is planning to introduce this feature into its Win11 system in the coming weeks, citing foreign technology media Windows Lastest.

The native screencap function of the system is one of the most popular functions of Win11 users, such as sharing certain clips with friends, recording troubleshooting, games and other scene activities, and so on. Although there are many good third-party applications and Microsoft's official Game Bar on the market, the native screencap feature can solve many problems for free.

CTOnews.com learned that this feature will be introduced in Snipping Tool version 11.2211.11.0 and later, based on a previous Feedback Hub post that has been deleted. In the future, users of Dev channel will try this feature in advance.

Microsoft says that to use the VCR feature, users need to follow these steps:

Open the start menu > all applications > clip tools.

Select the record button to switch from clipping mode to record mode.

Click the new + new button.

Select part of the screen. To do this, simply click and hold down and drag the cursor across the screen.

Select the desired area on the screen and release the mouse button.

Resize the selected area.

When you are satisfied with the selected area, select the start button. This will be visible in the overlay menu.

Once the countdown is over, recording of the selected area starts automatically.

You can stop recording and save the shot by clicking the red stop button in the overlay menu.

Microsoft said the screencap will automatically pop up in the Snipping Tool playback menu. According to the Microsoft feedback Center post, you can watch and save the recording, or start a new recording or new clip.
