CTOnews.com, December 8, Dyson released its air purification headset Zone, which supports active noise reduction, earlier this year, but kept some details of the product secret at the time. Specifically, Dyson did not disclose the price and launch date, nor did it say much about the battery life, which the company shared today. The headset will first go on sale in China in January, then in the United States, Britain, Hong Kong and Singapore in March, starting at $949 (about 6615 yuan), almost twice as much as the AirPods Max.

According to reports, engineer Dyson analyzed air pollution in different cities around the world and inspired a "wearable purifier." This air purification headset integrates the functions of the headset and the purifier, allowing users to simultaneously experience the dual functions of active noise reduction and air purification.

Officials say the headphone has a dual purification system that can effectively filter pollutants and harmful gases in the city. Dyson innovates the development of contactless masks that can continuously deliver clean air to the mouth and nose, bringing a comfortable, comfortable and refreshing breathing experience.

CTOnews.com learned that the box contained headphones, a removable mask for air purification, an additional set of electrostatic carbon filters, a mask cleaning brush, a USB-C charging cord and a hard box.

According to Dyson, electrostatic filters can be used for up to 12 months before they are replaced. The filter uses a double-layer design, which includes potassium-rich carbon to capture acidic gases such as nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide and ozone. All in all, the company claims that the filter can block 99% of particles, including particles as small as 0.1 microns.

On the audio side, Zone headphones can achieve active noise reduction of up to 38 decibels and use a 40mm neodymium drive unit. When it goes on sale, the headset will support SBC, AAC and LHDC audio codecs, as well as Bluetooth 5.0.

Battery life will depend on how you use Zone's air purification feature, which requires power to use. If the air purification feature is not enabled, Zone's 2600mAh battery can provide 50 hours of listening time on a single charge. If the air purification speed is set to the slowest and the battery life is about 4 hours, increasing the purification speed to "medium" and "high" air volume settings will further reduce the battery life to two and a half hours and an hour and a half, respectively. Using USB-C to charge, it takes about three hours to upgrade the battery from a dead state to 100%, Dyson said.
