CTOnews.com December 8 news, affected by Foxconn and other factors, Morgan Stanley again cut global iPhone shipments in the fourth quarter of 2022, a further 3 million units lower than the previously adjusted forecast.

According to a Morgan Stanley memo seen by CNBC, analysts believe Apple's iPhone shipments in the fourth quarter were more than 9 million units lower than the initial estimate and a further 3 million lower than the subsequently revised estimate. This means that their initial estimate of 85 million has dropped to 75.5 million.

CTOnews.com learned that Morgan Stanley said in the report: "investors now understand that fourth-quarter delivery will be challenged because of iPhone supply shortages. So the most important debate in the near future is how big the gap will be in that quarter. We believe that demand for iPhone 14 Pro / Pro Max remains solid, which may be delayed until the first quarter of next year, but we do not think it will simply disappear.

Morgan Stanley still puts Apple's revenue at $120 billion in the fourth quarter. Although the tight supply of iPhone may have a negative impact of 3%, there will not be much decline in the quarter compared with the same period last year ($123.9 billion).
