According to reports, with the large-scale deployment of 5G SA (independent networking) network, China Mobile Research Institute has formulated 5G VoNR international roaming and VoNR + new call end-to-end technology. 5G SA core network has been deployed in China Mobile Research Institute laboratory and South Korea KT Seoul laboratory and connected through IPX network, and commercial base station coverage has been realized in the main conference venues in Beijing and Seoul. For the scenes of Chinese mobile users flooding to Seoul, South Korea and calling China Mobile users in Beijing, we demonstrated high-definition video calls and new calls such as Chinese-English translation and interesting calls based on VoNR +.

VoNR + will bring a comprehensive upgrade for real-time communication, the means of communication will be upgraded from high-definition audio and video to zero-trust, fully interactive real-time communication, and the type of terminal will be extended from mobile phones to wearable devices, household appliances, cars, robots and other types. At the same time, as a new 5G call target architecture, VoNR + can support many 5G new call service scenarios:
