The report predicts that phones and smartphones will continue to decline in 2023 due to the evolution of the Ukraine-Russia war, the impact of the epidemic on manufacturing, and a mix of consumer demand amid high global inflation and economic uncertainty. 2023 will hit the bottom of the past decade.

The report expects all regions to show a downward trend in 2023, assuming no major external disturbances, and expects the smartphone market to rebound from 2024. By 2025, the global smartphone market will return to pre-epidemic levels. It will take five years for the industry to fully recover from the impact of the epidemic and geopolitical problems.
