The official Weibo of Jidu JIDU said that the main body of Jidu in Shanghai is "Shanghai Jidu Automobile Co., Ltd.", not "Shanghai Power Aviation Automobile Co., Ltd.". Ji du is still jointly owned by Baidu and Geely, while Ji du CEO is Xia Yiping.

Data show that Jidu is a car robot startup company initiated by Baidu and invested by Geely strategy. Jidu is committed to the engineering research, development and commercial popularization of the world's top self-driving and human-computer interaction technology, to create revolutionary car robots with emotion and wisdom, and to make people more space and time to achieve more possibilities.

CTOnews.com learned that in October this year, the limited version of ROBO-01, the first model of Jidu, was officially unveiled at a price of 399800 yuan, and delivery of the new car is expected to begin in 2023. The model is positioned as a medium and large SUV, based on Baidu Apollo autopilot capability, uses vision + dual lidar autopilot solution, and is still manufactured by Geely Motor.
