In a statement provided to foreign science and technology media Ars Technica, Winamp said:

The latest version of Winamp allows music lovers to link their Metamask bags to Winamp via Brave, Chrome or Firefox. Then it connects their favorite music, NFT, to this old and sturdy player.

Winamp supports audio and video files distributed according to ERC-721 and ERC-1155 standards, and is introducing this new feature for Ethernet Fong and Polygon / Matic protocols.

CTOnews.com learned that in other fixes, the new version reduced memory footprint, increased streaming music bandwidth, updated OpenSSL to 3.0.5, optimized the underlying codec, and so on.
