After a year, the tripartite cooperation has made a new breakthrough. Recently, Hong Kong China Smart Energy announced that the industrial firewall product jointly developed by the three parties has achieved phased results. In the actual application scene of the Hong Kong and China gas site, the product has passed dozens of functional tests. This also marks the first industrial firewall based on RISC-V chip to achieve a new breakthrough in the energy industry.

According to the introduction of ▲ Industrial Firewall Test Topology, Tuyuan Saifang Technology, this product is based on the self-developed Fang Hong 7000 series RISC-V SoC chips provided by Sai Fang Technology, the platform specification of Honghua Smart Energy, the operation experience and resources of the energy industry, and equipped with the IICS-OS system suite independently developed by Venut, which can realize the whole process security and control under the gas operation scene.

The industrial firewall prototype has been tested in many links in Xinmi Ganghua, including firewall management, IP / MAC filtering, Modbus protocol self-learning and in-depth analysis, ACL management, one-click addition of whitelist alarm, Modbus domain control, security domain addition, session table query, aging time configuration, security domain data flow control, attack prevention, firewall operation log, event statistical analysis and so on. After testing, compared with the products under the traditional architecture, this product can effectively reduce the power consumption of the whole machine and improve the efficiency of message processing. And this product can not only achieve low latency and high throughput requirements, but also use fanless airtight design in hardware to ensure that the product can be deployed in a variety of industrial and energy application scenarios with complex environments.

The success of the industrial firewall prototype test not only proves the feasibility of the application of high-performance RISC-V chips in industrial firewalls, but also lays a solid foundation for the follow-up application of RISC-V open source chip architecture in industrial control, edge computing, smart energy, smart home and many other scenarios.

CTOnews.com learned that Sai Fang Technology also recently released a new RISC-V application processor, Fang Hong 8100 SoC (JH8100), which adopts 12nm process, carries Fang Shu CPU Core IP developed by Sai Fang Technology, and adopts four major cores and two small cores. Among them, Fang Tianshu is a 64-bit ultra-high performance RISC-V processor core, using 12-level pipeline design, can achieve superscalar, deep out-of-order execution and so on. The highest working frequency of Fang Tianshu is 2GHz DMIPS / MHz,CoreMark7.6 / MHz.
