CTOnews.com, December 7 (Xinhua)-- Ted Sarandos, co-CEO of streaming giant Netflix, said the company will rebound and grow next year after a tough 2022, according to the Wall Street Journal.

At a UBS conference in New York on December 6th, Sarandos said Netflix, like most companies, was happy that 2022 had passed. Under very difficult conditions this year, Netflix released the five most watched shows in the company's history, as well as the three most popular films.

In addition, Sarandos acknowledges competition from companies such as Disney, Apple, Amazon and Comcast. Fierce competition has pushed Netflix's shares down 49 per cent so far this year, having rebounded 55 per cent in the second half of the year.

CTOnews.com learned that financial data showed that Netflix's third-quarter revenue was $7.926 billion, up 5.9 per cent from a year earlier, while net profit was $1.398 billion, down 3.5 per cent from a year earlier. In the third quarter, the total number of paying users of Netflix's global streaming service reached 223.09 million, up 4.5 per cent from a year earlier.
