CTOnews.com, December 6 (Xinhua)-- Wizards: monster Killers is an augmented reality mobile game developed by Spokko Game Studios of CDPR. The game is available free of charge on Apple's iOS and Android platforms on July 21.

Less than a year later, however, CDPR officially announced that it would shut down Wizards: monster Killers next year. The company had previously said in October that it would focus on its core business of PC and mainframe development, and that the mobile project would be carried out in cooperation with external studios.

CTOnews.com has learned that Wizards: monster Killer will be removed from Google Google Play and Apple App Store on January 31, 2023, and will be banned from all players on June 30, 2023. The game's development team, Spokko Mobile Games Studio, is expected to be incorporated into a larger team to work on other projects.

In addition, CDPR will also end its support for Wizards: Quint, leaving only a small number of staff to maintain game operations, and the rest of the developers will move to other projects, which seems to be to streamline internal business and focus on their own main content development.

CDPR does have a number of projects currently under way, including the next generation of the Wizards trilogy, the first feature film of Cyberpunk 2077, a remake of the original Wizards, and even a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Freeing up people to develop large-scale projects may avoid the launch nightmare of the next cyber punk 2077.
