CTOnews.com, December 6, Nanjing Communications Bureau, Municipal Development and Reform Commission, Municipal Industrial and Information Bureau, Municipal Construction Commission, Municipal Finance Bureau, Municipal Real Estate Bureau and National Network Nanjing Power supply Bureau jointly issued the "Nanjing Residential area Electric vehicle charging Infrastructure Construction Management measures" to clarify the requirements of charging infrastructure construction for newly built residential areas and existing residential areas, in order to solve the difficult problems of residential area electric vehicle charging infrastructure construction.

The measures require that 100% of the parking spaces for the planning and construction of parking spaces in new residential areas should be reserved for the construction and installation of charging infrastructure, and the charging facilities should be equipped with not less than 20% of the planned number of parking spaces, and should have the function of orderly charging. Orderly charging piles should have the function of controlling the output power of charging facilities, realize off-peak charging, and plan, design, construct and check and accept synchronously with the main buildings of residential areas.

The "measures" are clear and guide real estate development and construction units, property service enterprises and the majority of owners to support the construction of electric vehicle charging infrastructure in residential areas. The charging infrastructure in residential areas should be dominated by low-power slow charging (7 kilowatts) and supplemented by high-power fast charging.
