CTOnews.com, December 6 (Xinhua)-- Google today released the first quarterly platform update (Quarterly Platform Releases) of Android 13 for Pixel phones, which brought more than 70 fixes to Pixel 7. Today's release of Android 13 QPR 1 coincides with the December Feature Drop, so Pixel users can upgrade to experience the changes brought about by the new version.

CTOnews.com learned that some user-oriented adjustments are also included in the Android 13 QPR1 update. The first is to allow the user to delete the media player in the lock screen interface. Users can access Settings Application > Sound and Vibration > Media to turn off Show Media on Lock screen.

In Quick Settings, Google introduced click animation for each module and upgraded some icons. Touch animation is available for icons including Bluetooth, automatic rotation, flashlight, flight mode, do not disturb, hotspot, dark theme and Night Light.

Unified Pixel Launcher is back in the new version after it was removed in August this year. Users can search for applications, application shortcuts, contacts, Play store results, and screenshots.

In the settings, Android 13 QPR1 renamed the screen's "improve touch sensitivity" (Increase touch sensitivity) to "screen saver mode" (Screen protector mode), while making small visual adjustments to the "screen saver" preferences and the "hold down the power button" menu.

44 security issues were fixed in the Android December 13 patch dated 2022-12-01 and 36 security issues were fixed in the 2022-12-05 update.
