Data show that by September 2022, the number of NB-IoT base stations in China has reached 755000, the total number of 4G base stations has reached 5.937 million, the total number of 5G base stations has reached 2.22 million, and more than 7900 5G industry virtual private networks have been deployed, laying a solid foundation for the innovative development of mobile animal networking applications.

CTOnews.com learned that the report pointed out that NB-IoT, 4G, 5G application innovation is active. NB-IoT has formed 4 million-level applications such as water meter, gas meter, smoke sense and tracking, 7 million-level applications such as white electricity, street lamps, parking and agriculture, and N new applications. 4G Cat1 meets the needs of medium and low speed and low cost. With the good coverage of 4G and the seamless docking of base stations, it has the advantages of lower price and power consumption. Domestic Cat1 began to send power at the end of 2019, and the shipment volume is growing rapidly. 5G application innovation is active. In 2022, the number of "blooming Cup" projects increased significantly, breaking through 28000 as a whole; the maturity of 5G applications increased significantly, with "commercial landing" and "solution replicable" projects accounting for more than 50%.

In addition, the industry has accelerated the promotion of 5G RedCap to maturity. At present, 5G RedCap has received much attention, and the industry has jointly promoted the commercial use of RedCap. The "5G Application" Action Plan (2021-2023) issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other ten departments clearly points out: speed up to make up for the weaknesses of the industry, speed up the research and development and industrialization of lightweight 5G chip modules, and further improve the performance-to-price ratio of terminal modules.
