CTOnews.com, December 6 (Xinhua)-- at Toyota's annual Kenshiki forum, they outlined the enhanced strategy of electrification in Europe, which will include the launch of five all-electric models, including the bZ4X, by 2026. Through these policies, Toyota hopes to accelerate its sales target of 50% electric models by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2040.

CTOnews.com learned that Toyota has delivered an all-electric model, the bZ4X, which opens Toyota's new "bZ" series of all-electric families, and introduced a new bZ concept car at the Los Angeles auto show last month.

At the Kenshiki forum, Toyota outlined a more aggressive electric vehicle strategy, at least for Europe, with plans for five new "bZ" models, including a small sedan / SUV planned for next year.

Matt Harrison, president and chief executive of Toyota Europe, said:

Overall, we currently have two areas of focus: the first is carbon neutrality and how we plan to achieve this in our business area; and the second is, how to achieve the mobile future when we transform from a manufacturing and sales company to a mobile service provider.

Harrison said they will launch five new bZ models in Europe, starting with a small electric car to be launched next year. According to European Automotive News, Toyota will also launch a pure electric SUV.

Harrison also revealed that Toyota's move to expand its bZ model in Europe shows its "clear commitment to pure electric vehicles"; in addition to the three larger models, it also plans to sell other pure electric vehicles overseas over the next three years, including the compact SUV and cross-border vehicles.

Of course, the Toyota bZ SUV concept car is also on display in Brussels, and a person familiar with Toyota's products said that the mass production version of the concept car, which is scheduled to launch in the compact SUV market in 2025, could be named bZ3X.
