Beijing, December 6 (Xinhua) Microsoft President Brad Smith (Brad Smith) said Monday that Microsoft has offered rival Sony a 10-year contract to allow Activision Blizzard to launch every new call of Duty game on PlayStation on the same day as the Xbox platform.

Microsoft's proposal comes as the company's $69 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard faces increasing regulatory scrutiny. Microsoft announced the acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January, but encountered regulatory resistance in the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. Sony criticized the deal and even called on regulators to veto it.

"the main potential anti-competitive risk raised by Sony is that Microsoft will stop providing call of Duty on PlayStation, but this is economically unreasonable." Smith said.

Jim Ryan, Sony's head of games, said in September that Microsoft's earlier proposal to keep Activision Blizzard's popular game series on PlayStation for three years after the current agreement expired was not good enough.
