CTOnews.com, December 5 (Xinhua)-- DuoWOA project creator Gustave Monce has released a new set of drivers for Microsoft Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2 smartphones. These drivers integrate mobile hardware with desktop operating systems and make Microsoft's dual-screen smartphones better suited to Windows PC. Driver version 2212.12 brings charging support, improved brightness control, compatibility with more sensors, and various fixes.

Here's what's new about Surface Duo.

Charging is finally supported under Windows, which is the first version of the charging stack, so several aspects are currently limited. Work is still in progress, and for safety reasons, the charging input is limited to low current.

Added the driver of Qualcomm SMB1380 secondary charger.

Added drivers for Qualcomm PM8150B metering and primary chargers.

Enables the content adaptive luminance level.

Added pedometer sensor support for Surface Duo.

Add optical fusion sensor support for Surface Duo.

Surface Duo now enables the new tablet posture experience by default. Expect more tablet optimization taskbars, larger click targets in Microsoft Edge / file browser, and more.

Some problems with repetitive sensors have been solved.

Smooth brightness control for both panels is enabled.

Solved the problem of preventing USB functional mode from working. This mainly affects the transfer of USB files using computers.

Update the Surface Duo firmware to the latest Android OTA version in November.
