CTOnews.com, December 5 (Xinhua)-- Apple's neural rendering research team (Neural Rendering Research Team) issued a recruitment announcement last week that it is recruiting a neural rendering research scientist to help Apple build a fully immersive 3D experience in AR / VR.

Apple is very demanding for this position, with at least a paper presented at a top conference such as CVPR/ECCV/ICCV/SIGGRAPH/NeurIPS, a doctorate in computer vision, computer graphics, machine learning, or related fields, and proficient in Python and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or similar).

The Neuron rendering Research team is part of the Applied Research and Engineering Organization for Video computer Vision (Video Computer Vision / VCV), which is responsible for the development of real-time devices for Apple products. The mission of the Neuron rendering research team is to build a fully immersive 3D experience in AR / VR. We believe that neural rendering will be the underlying driving force for the experience described over the next decade. As an application research team, we are responsible for Apple's neural rendering research and have a practical focus on developing and exploring cutting-edge algorithms for reconstruction, view compositing, animation, editing and automated generation of realistic 3D scenes and Avatar applications.

Apple describes the main role of this position as:

The Neural rendering Research team is part of Video computer Vision (VCV), a centralized applied research and engineering organization responsible for developing real-time device-side computer vision and machine awareness technologies across Apple products.

CTOnews.com has learned that current revelations suggest that Apple is already developing an XR headdisplay, which is expected to be released sometime in 2023. It is said that the product will have a unique system that belongs to the series, called xrOS, and, like Apple TV and Apple Watch, it will also have a dedicated App Store and ecosystem.
